Here are eight ideas for decorating your timber windows at Christmas.
Curtain lights add a magical glow to your timber windows. Icicle lights are also perfectly designed for window displays. Hang star- or snowflake-shaped lights for a particularly festive look. You can even simply outline the window frame with traditional string lights for a fast, easy decoration. Find what you’re looking for in white or multicolored lights.
Want to get the kids involved? Spend a snowy Sunday afternoon folding construction paper and cutting out snowflake patterns. You can even glue on glitter or sequins for added sparkle. Stick the finished product to the glass with double-sided tape or hang the snowflakes from yarn attached to the top of the window.
For a classic country Christmas feel, spruce up your timber windows with seasonal greenery. You might hang an evergreen wreath in the center of the window or drape a faux holly garland across the top. You can also display pine cones or branches you have collected on your nature walks.
